ARTICLE XIV                          MEMBERSHIP

Section 1            Once a year a membership campaign will be conducted. The scope

of the campaign will be developed by the Executive Board.  Current members and

other Human Resource professionals identified as not having representation in

‘PASHHRA’ will be contacted and asked, if the Human Resource professionals from

the organization is interested in becoming a member.

Section 2            The Administrative firm hired by the Society will handle the annual

Membership campaign.

Section 3            The Administrative firm will evaluate the qualifications of prospective

members, and report their findings to the Executive Committee.

 

ARTICLE XV               COMPENSATION COMMITTEE

Section 1            The Compensation Chairperson will be appointed by the President

annually. The Chairperson will organize the Compensation Committee.

Section 2            The Chairperson shall serve as liaison with the Delaware Valley

Healthcare Council and the Delaware Valley Healthcare Compensation Society to

provide input in survey design based on the needs of the members of the Society.

 

ARTICLE XVI                          LABOR & LEGISLATIVE ACTIVITIES

Section 1            Knowing that the members of the Society have a real interest in the

Labor and Legislative areas, the Executive Board each year will review both areas to

see if any activities will assist them members. Project coordinators will be sought from

the membership.

 

ARTICLE XVII            BYLAWS COMMITTEE

Section 1            The Bylaws Chairperson will be immediate Past President.

Section 2            Periodically the Executive Board will recommend changes in the

Bylaws. Bylaws changes will be presented to the Society and voted upon by the

membership at the next available opportunity. 

Section 3            The Bylaws will be totally reviewed every 5 years.

 

ARTICLE XVIII          AD HOC COMMITTEES

Section 1            The President may appoint additional committees or chairpersons to

Meet the needs of the Society. These individuals will assist in developing the slate of

activities for the Society.  The President and Executive Committee will determine the

scope and purpose of such committees.

 

ARTICLE XIX                          STATEMENT OF ETHICS

Section 1            Each member will be expected to respect the purpose of ‘PASHHRA’

and to support it.  The interchange of ideas, information and the discussion of

problems shall be viewed as privileged information and not as any reflection of the

official attitude or opinion of any member or employer.

Section 2            ‘PASHHRA’ shall not be represented as advocating or endorsing any

issue unless approved by the Executive Board.
