Director, Compensation and Benefits

A highly successful healthcare organization with approximately 10,000 employees located in Eastern Pennsylvania seeks a Director of Compensation and Benefits. Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Director will direct the planning, administration and implementation of wage and salary compensation programs and all employee benefits programs. The Director will recommend new and/or improved employee benefit plans and cost-savings measures while supporting the organizational mission of "employer of choice" in the region. The organization is well known for its success in its industry and has been recognized locally and nationally with multiple awards.

The Director of Compensation and Benefits should be an HR professional with a Bachelors’ degree in Business or Human Resources and a minimum of 3 years of compensation/benefit management experience. CCP, CBP or CEBS certification is preferred. The Director must have a simultaneous hands-on and strategic approach to benefits/compensation. Proven experience with compensation surveys, incentive plans, job evaluations and classifications required, as is experience with benefit design and implementation.  The Director must possess strong computer skills with proficiency in data organization and statistical analysis, as well as strong communication and leadership skills.

This position will have direct reports; previous management experience is required.

Vice President of Human Resources

The Vice President, Human Resources will be the senior most human resources leader at D-H, responsible for setting the strategic direction for the human resources function to meet both current and future organizational objectives.  The Vice President will have responsibility for all human resources services and programs within the hospital relative to: recruitment and retention, workforce planning, staff development, employee health, workers' compensation, wage and salary administration, employee assistance, employee benefits, organizational development, management development, employee relations, volunteer services and safety.

             Directly reporting to the Vice President are the Director of Recruitment; Director of Compensation and Systems; Director of Employee Benefits; Director of Education and Employee Relations; and Director of Employee Wellness.  There will be an opportunity to reorganize the HR leadership team.

             The successful candidate should possess a Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Health Administration, Business or other related field with a minimum of ten years professional experience in the human resources field and five years management experience.  Experience in a health delivery organization is strongly preferred.
