EEOC has revised its “Equal Employment Opportunity is the Law” poster. This new version reflects current federal employment discrimination law (including the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act of 2008). The poster was revised to add information about the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008, which is effective November 21, 2009. The revised poster also includes updates from the Department of Labor.

The American Hospital Association has sent out the following link to assist in implementing the law. Link must be copied and pasted.

HOSPITAL ASSOCIATION SENDS STRONG MESSAGE TO PHRC ON NEW GUIDANCE

The Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission (PHRC) has published a proposal titled, The Disparate Impact Discrimination Implications of a Denial of Employment Based on a Criminal Record.  The Hospital and Healthcare Association of PA (HAP) sent a strong letter after seeking guidance from HR Directors throughout the state, offering comments on the proposal.
